GeoBob has a web-based user interface to input content for each application. No programming experience is required. Currently, users can add “fun” facts about a location.

After the data is submitted from the website, a file is created and sent to the GeoBob team. This is used to create the application for the Android phone or iPhone.

The applications can be used for both iPhones and Android phones. The applications will use content in the form of text, images, audio, and video.

Our research has been broken up into the following questions.

  • What are the uses of handheld devices for learning?
  • What type of applications do others build using this platform?
  • What types of games can be built?
  • How do people use the GPS on their phones?
